Neil Patrick Harris to host the Tony Awards — again

Neil Patrick Harris will return once again to host the Tony Awards this year, CBS announced Tuesday.

NPH, known as star of CBS sitcom “How I Met Your Mother” a CBS sitcom star as well as a guy who can host pretty much anything, hosted the Tonys in 2009 and 2011 to pretty solid reviews. Last year, the telecast scored about 6.9 million viewers with NPH at the helm.

“I’m thrilled to be a part of this year’s TONY Awards,” NPH said in a statement. “Not only will I be shining a spotlight on the best that Broadway has to offer, but hopefully I’ll score some free house seats to a show – or five!”

This year’s Tony Awards air Sunday, June 10, on CBS.
