New ‘CBS This Morning’ launches with Charlie Rose and Oprah BFF Gayle King

With “The Early Show” a thing of the past, CBS launched its new morning program — the appropriately-named “CBS This Morning — on Monday, with co-anchors Charlie Rose, Gayle King and Erica Hill.

The show was expected to take a more serious, news-driven approach than the fellow morning shows on NBC and ABC, but “CBS This Morning” kicked off with plenty of pop culture, including a discussion about Beyonce’s new baby, and an interview with Julianna Margulies.
