Nickelodeon’s ‘iCarly’ will end this year

Nickelodeon’s highly-rated series “iCarly,” about a trio of teens who host a wildly popular Web show, will come to an end this year.

The network confirmed to that the fifth season will be the last for the series, which hails from Dan Schneider, who has created a slew of series for Nickelodeon including “Victorious,” “Zoey 101” and ”Drake and Josh.”

The cast, starring Miranda Cosgrove, Jennette McCurdy and Nathan Kress, will film a final episode this summer that is scheduled to air in November, the report said.

Earlier this year, First Lady Michelle Obama stopped by the show to promote her military initiative — the main character, Carly, has a dad who serves overseas.
