Snooki and JWoww find a home in Jersey City for ‘Jersey Shore’ spin-off

Jenni 'JWOWW' Farley and Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi (Joel Ryan - AP)
Snooki and JWoww won’t have to shoot their spin-off in Pennsylvania, after all — Jersey City, N.J., has given them the thumbs up after Hoboken turned them down. Jersey City has officially issued permits to MTV and 495 productions to start filming a reality series.

Last week, Hoboken Mayor Dawn Zimmer refused to allow the show, featuring the “Jersey Shore” stars, to film in Hoboken, citing “public safety and quality of life concerns”for the city.

Like a superhero coming to the rescue, officials in Jersey Shore, Pa., stepped in and offered a home for the show. But now, the “Jersey” cast members are staying true to their roots.

Jersey City Mayor Jerramiah Healy seems pleased with the decision, telling WNYW, “My view is the more people that see anything about Jersey City and see what we have in Jersey, the better it is for Jersey City.”
