‘Veronica Mars’ movie campaign reaches $3 million as Kickstarter donations continue

…and, as of 7:17 p.m. Thursday, the Kickstarter campaign to raise $2 million in fan money, so Warner Bros. would greenlight a limited release “Veronica Mars” movie, hit $3 million. On Wednesday, the campaign launched by UPN/CW’s “Veronica Mars” creator Rob Thomas hit $1 million at 3:06 p.m. ET — just four hours after it was launched, setting a new Kickstarter record. It hit $2 million at 8:55 p.m. ET.

“$3M! I love you all. ‘Today Show’ here filming me as it hit the magic number,” Thomas tweeted.
