Washington Casting Call (kinda): ‘Homeland’

Mandy Patinkin as Saul Berenson in Showimts “Homeland.” (KENT SMITH - SHOWTIME)
Think you can game a polygraph, as did shadowy Sgt. Nicolas Brody (Damian Lewis) on this past Sunday’s episode of Showtime’s “Homeland”?  The pay cable network is sending a “Homeland” polygraph van to Washington on Friday, Nov. 11 at Gallery Place, F. St. and 6th St. NW, next to Verizon Center, from 11-4 p.m. Professional polygraphists will test your answers.

Vans are also traveling to New York, Philadelpha, San Francisco and Los Angeles as part of the publicity campaign for the show which also stars Claire Danes and Mandy Patinkin.

If you’re busy that day, Showtime also has a simulated-polygraph app, which uses voice stress analysis to evaluate your answers.

“Homeland,” based on the Israeli series “Prisoners of War,” stars Danes as a CIA officer who thinks the intelligence that led to the rescue of U.S. soldier Brody, who had been missing and presumed dead for eight years, was a setup and may be connected to an Al Qaeda plot to be carried out on American soil.
