WJLA creates personalized alarm clock for viewers

Washington’s ABC station is trying to make sure viewers can hear the sounds of WJLA before they even turn on their TV in the morning — the station announced Monday that it has launched the “ABC7 Alarm Clock app.”

The app, available on iTunes, allows users to choose their very own wake-up call which can be the voice of an ABC7 reporter, including Alison Starling, Cynné Simpson, Jacqui Jeras, Leon Harris and Steve Chenevey.

However, the announcement added, instead of waking up to say, Leon Harris, users can also choose to have the alarm sound like a waterfall, barking dog, rooster crow, doorbell, song from their iTunes library, or just a regular old alarm clock.
