WRC adds Amelia Segal to weather team

Amelia Segal (WRC)
WRC, Washington’s NBC-owned TV station, has hired meteorologist Amelia Segal to join its weather reporting team.

“Adding another meteorologist — especially one from our region — will help make our coverage even better,” station chief meteorologist Doug Kammerer said in Wednesday’s announcement. (Segal is a native of Frederick County, Md.)

“It has been my dream since I started studying meteorology to work in DC,” Segal added.

Segal got her degree in meteorology from Penn State.

Since then, she’s been a meteorologist in Erie, Pa., and Buffalo.

Segal joins Kammerer, Tom Kierein, Veronica Johnson and Chuck Bell on the station’s weather team.
