Mark Sanford: We can learn from ‘a God of second chances’

QUOTE OF THE DAY: “I’ve experienced how none of us go through life without mistakes. But in their wake we can learn a lot about grace, a God of second chances and be the better for it. In that light, I humbly step forward and ask for your help in changing Washington.”

-Mark Sanford, former South Carolina governor and current candidate for Congress from that state, on forgiveness in politics. Sanford resigned from his office in 2009 after admitting that he was having an extramarital affair.
