Democratic group launches ads attacking Republicans in Va.

As the Fix reported Wednesday, Priorities USA, a Democrat-aligned super PAC run by two former senior aides in the Obama administration, launched television ads in five swing states, including Virginia, attacking Republicans for their vote to overhaul Medicare.

The ads, which will run in Iowa, North Carolina, Florida, Colorado and Virginia for the next two weeks, are a response to a conservative group’s TV campaign that began to attack President Obama on Monday.

They are the first buy by Priorities USA, a group formed after the 2010 election. The ad buy is $750,000.
