Virginia Gov. Robert F. McDonnell will not meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as planned during his trip to Israel, the governor’s office announced Friday. The meeting was cancelled after Netanyahu’s father-in-law died earlier this week at the age of 97.

McDonnell was to meet with Netanyahu Sunday during the governor’s visit, part of an 11-day trade mission to Israel and India.

McDonnell will still meet as planned with Israeli President Shimon Peres on Sunday.
