Kaine gets a Super PAC, too

A few days after U.S. Senate candidate George Allen (R) got his own Super PAC, his Democratic rival Tim Kaine did, too.

The New Virginia PAC is being launched by a pair of former aides to former Gov. Mark Warner, now a U.S. senator, — Steve Bouchard and Harmony Knutson — and media consultant Mark Longabaugh, for the purpose of electing Kaine to the Senate..

“It’s one of the most importance races in the country,’’ Longabaugh said. “We don’t want Kaine to be outspent in this campaign.”

Super PACs can accept unlimited contributions, but must disclosure their donors.
