Former Virginia Gov. Tim Kaine, now a candidate for the U.S. Senate, will headline the Alexandria Democratic Committee’s annual Jefferson-Jackson dinner June 9 at Crowne Plaza in Old Town Alexandria.

Kaine will give the dinner’s keynote speech. The head of the local committee, Dak Hardwick, said the dinner will also honor Alexandria Vice Mayor Kerry Donley and council member Rob Krupicka, neither of whom are running for reelection. Krupicka, however, plans to run for a vacant Virginia Senate House of Delegates seat.

Kaine is unoppposed in the Democratic primary. He will face the winner of the Republican primary, either former governor and U.S. Sen. George Allen, Bishop Earl Jackson, Del. Bob Marshall from Prince William or former Virginia Tea Party Patriots head Jamie Radtke.
