Gov. Bob McDonnell flies to Aspen, Colo. Thursday to attend the executive roundtable retreat of the Republican Governors Association,
made up of donors who give $25,000 or more each year.
The retreat includes policy panels and a session at the Aspen Institute, a think tank, led by its president, Walter Isaacson.
McDonnell, who serves as the RGA vice chairman, will lead a panel on the growing impact of China and how it is affecting American competitiveness.
More than 200 people are expected to attend. The event is closed to the media.
McDonnell, who attended a similar event last year, will return Friday.
