Gov. Bob McDonnell (R) will join five fellow governors Monday morning in Washington to discuss job creation and reviving the economy.
McDonnell, fellow Republicans Scott Walker of Wisconsin, Rick Scott of Florida and Terry Branstad of Iowa, and Democrats John Hickenlooper of Colorado and Jack Markell of Delaware will be on a panel hosted by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the National Chamber Foundation. The NFC will
also release its second annual enterprising states study. (See last year’s study.)
Thomas J. Donohue, chamber president, and Margaret Spellings, executive vice president of the National Chamber Foundation and former U.S. secretary of education, will also attend.
The governors are slated to talk about how states attract businesses and how to improve state economies through budget cuts and certain public and private investments.
