McDonnell, O’Malley to square off at Politico forum

The latest face-off between Virginia Gov. Robert F. McDonnell and Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley is booked for Friday in Washington.

O’Malley (D) and McDonnell (R) are scheduled to have “a conversation” at Politico’s Second Annual State Solutions Conference, appearing in their respective capacities as chairmen of the Democratic Governors Association and Republican Governors Association.

The pair have become accustomed to sparring before national television audiences. Most recently, O’Malley and McDonnell appeared jointly earlier this month on CNN’s “State of the Union,” where they offered competing views on which party deserves credit for the start of the economic recovery and their respective job-creation records.
