McDonnell talks politics, trade missions on national TV

Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell (R) is conducting a flurry of national TV interviews while in the Big Apple for first stop of a four-day trade mission.

The chairman of the Republican Governors Association and governor of a swing state is, of course, talking politics — especially Tuesday’s news that Rick Santorum is out and all the buzz about McDonnell possibly being picked for VP.

But he also mentioned that he will head to England, Germany and Sweden in June. His staff said they’re still planning his sixth international trade mission and had no other details.

McDonnell, who goes to Canada Thursday morning, has previously visited Israel, India, Japan, China, South Korea, Germany, England and the Netherlands.

McDonnell appeared on “Morning Joe” and “CBS This Morning.” He will be on the “Kudlow Report” Wednesday night.
