If that date sounds a little familiar to you, it’s because it’s also the first day of the legislative session.
The event, first reported by NBC12 in Richmond, will take place at the Richmond Marriott. Tickets range from $500 to $10,000, which includes a VIP reception and photo.
Money raised will benefit the Obama Victory Fund, a joint fundraising committee that supports both President Obama’s 2012 re-election campaign and the Democratic National Committee.
Obama’s campaign declined to release further information.
