Michelle Obama, Warner and McDonnell to attend Va. Tech graduation, two as speakers, one as proud dad

As if there wouldn’t be enough political firepower at Virginia Tech’s May 11 graduation ceremony, what with both first lady Michelle Obama and Sen. Mark Warner (D-Va.) lined up to speak.

Turns out Gov. Robert F. McDonnell (R) will be there, too. Not as a commencement speaker, but as a proud parent.

One of McDonnell’s five children, Rachel, is getting a master’s degree in communication.
