It will be a return engagement for Santorum, a former Pennsylvania senator who was the foundation’s gala speaker in 2003. Former Arkansas governor and 2008 Republican presidential hopeful Mike Huckabee, Rep. Mike Pence (R-Ind.) and businessman and 2012 GOP presidential candidate Herman Cain have been featured speakers in recent years.

“In a nation where politicians are more driven by the protestors they see looking out the window of their office or the latest poll numbers, few are more loyal to our founding principles than our 2012 Richmond Gala speaker, Rick Santorum,” read an announcement the foundation issued Wednesday.

The event will take place in the evening of Oct. 6 in Richmond.

Information about tickets and sponsorship packages was not immediately announced.
