His campaign sent out an e-mail Sunday night urging people to bring supplies to his state headquarters in Arlington on Monday so they can be distributed to various relief centers in the area Tuesday.

They are looking for bottled water, non-perishable food items and other items like flashlights.

Those who can’t make it to the headquarters at 3811 N. Fairfax Dr., Suite 750, in Arlington are being encouraged to donate to the Red Cross.

The storm has claimed seven lives, including two in Fairfax, and left hundreds of thousands without power.

Gov. Robert F. McDonnell, who visited Fairfax this weekend, said the storms affected virtually the whole state, continuing to cause “a very dangerous situation for the citizens of Virginia.”
