Romney says Obama made change without the hope

Mitt Romney has a new ad in Virginia suggesting that President Obama has delivered on half of his “Hope and Change” promise. But the change, Romney says, hasn’t been for the better.

In a spot called “What Happened?,” Romney’s campaign claims that Obama has resorted to scare tactics and misleading campaign ads — the sorts of things he objected to on the campaign trail four years ago.

The ad contrasts some of Obama’s high-minded rhetoric from 2008 — “If you don't have any fresh ideas, then you use stale tactics to scare voters,” for instance — with headlines faulting his current campaign tactics.

The ad is just the latest to hit the airwaves in Virginia, which this year has been one of the nation’s most saturated markets for presidential TV advertising.
