The former Massachusetts governor and Republican presidential nominee will hold a “Veterans for Romney” event shortly before noon at an American Legion post in Springfield.

Romney, running mate Paul Ryan and their high-profile surrogates have made frequent visits to the battleground state, as have President Obama, Vice President Biden and their stand-ins. Biden campaigned in the Richmond suburb of Chesterfield on Tuesday.

Romney’s event begins at 11:50 a.m. at American Legion Post 176 at 6520 Amherst Avenue in Springfield.
