Tom Perriello: Have flipcharts, will travel

And you thought Tom Perriello, who in 2010 lost his Charlottesville-area congressional seat after one term, might be inclined to sit out the 2012 elections.

The 38-year-old Democrat isn’t on the ballot, but he’s all over the battleground states for the Center for American Progress, where he heads the political arm of the progressive think tank.

As my colleague Amy Gardner reports, Perriello is leading a wonky roadshow that aims to debunk Mitt Romney’s campaign claims with facts and figures, flipcharts and graphs.

It’s the flipside to the conservative Heritage Foundation's own rolling wonk-a-thon, known as the “Values Bus.”
