President Obama and Vice President Biden have spent plenty of time in Virginia this year, both for official White House events and campaign rallies. On Tuesday night, Biden will cross the Potomac for another reason — to raise cash.
Biden will headline a fundraising event for the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee at Sen. Mark Warner’s (D) home in Alexandria. Biden made a similar journey to the commonwealth last month to host a gathering in McLean for the Senate campaign of former governor Timothy M. Kaine (D).
Though Kaine’s bid is viewed as one of the most important in the country, Tuesday night’s event will benefit the DSCC as a whole, with the cash not earmarked for any particular race. Kaine will not be in attendance.
