Voters affected by redistricting to receive primary information

Residents who are eligible to vote in this month’s primary and live in districts affected by redistricting will soon receive new voter information cards.

The State Board of Elections started sending cards to voters this week.

Fifty localities have primaries Aug. 23.

If no information has changed, such as a polling place or election district, then a voter will most likely not receive a new voter information card.

Questions about the new cards can be directed to the State Board of Elections at 804-864-8901 or their local voter registration office.
