House of the Week: Chevy Chase home with two master suites, wine cellar

View Photo Gallery: The Washington Post’s picks of local distinguished homes on the market.

This week’s featured property, a stucco home with a tiled roof, was built in 1925. It has been renovated and expanded since, and now features two master suites, a basketball court and modern “work stations” where children can do their homework.

“It’s a house for entertaining and for family,” said Loretta Reed of Long & Foster Real Estate. “The kitchen is just phenomenal. It’s such a large room that everyone can gather in there without being on top of eachother.”

The home has five bedrooms, as well as a wine cellar and a bar. It is on the market for $1.6 million.
