Three house tours worth checking out this weekend:
The 57th annual Potomac Country House Tour runs Saturday and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. Visit three homes — a Palladian home, a Colonial farmhouse and a French colonial mansion — in Potomac Village. Tours begin at St. Francis Episcopal Church, 10033 River Rd., Potomac.
Tickets are $20 and can be purchased online and at the church. For more information, visit www.potomaccountryhousetour.org. There is also a boutique, silent auction and raffle.
The 12th annual Renovators House Tour is Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nine Capitol Hill homes that have recently undergone renovations will be on display. Visitors will receive a pamphlet with write-ups on each house as well as a two-page listing of contractors. For those looking for ideas on how to renovate their kitchens or other parts of the house, this is the tour for you.
Tickets are $20 in advance and can be purchased at Frager’s Paint Store, Hill’s Kitchen and Schneider’s of Capitol Hill. The price of the tickets goes up to $25 the day of the tour and can be bought outside Eastern Market. For more information, visit www.renovatorshousetour.org.
The 11th annual Reston Home Tour is Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The theme is “Living on the Edge.” Besides a visit to six homes, there will be talks and architectural renderings of the future mixed-use development planned for Reston Station at the offices of Nature’s Best Photography Magazine, 11411-C Sunset Hills Rd., Reston.
Tickets are $30 and can be purchased at the Reston Museum. For more information, visit www.restonmuseum.org.
