What you can buy for $750,000

The homes in the three-quarters of a million dollar price range tend not to be for first-time home buyers. These are homes for families. With the exception of the two-bedroom row house on Capitol Hill, they all have at least four bedrooms.

Unlike what we found in our What you can buy for $350,000 and What you can buy for $500,000, the differences among the properties in the $750,000 price range aren’t as great depending on their location.

We found a four-bedroom 3 1/2 bath home in Ellicott City; a four-bedroom, 2 1/2 bath house in Falls Church; a four-bedroom, 4 1/2 bath house in Leesburg; a two-bedroom, 1 1/2 bath row house on Capitol Hill and a five-bedroom, 4 1/2 bath Colonial in Derwood.

We are going to continue to look at different price points in the coming weeks, so be sure to check back if this isn’t a price range that interests you. We hope this feature helps you better gauge what you can afford as well as what this price range buys you in a particular neighborhood.
