Merry Christmas, basketball fans. The NBA just made it official: This lockout-shortened season will tip off on Dec. 25 with five games.
First, the Boston Celtics will take on the New York Knicks at noon on TNT. Then the Miami Heat and Dallas Mavericks meet in a rematch of the NBA Finals at 2:30 on ABC. At 5, the Chicago Bulls visit the Los Angeles Lakers (ABC); then the Orlando Magic face the Oklahoma City Thunder at 8 p.m. (ESPN). The hoops marathon wraps up with the Los Angeles Clippers playing the Golden State Warriors at 10:30 p.m. (ESPN).
