Wizards at Hawks: Game 43 discussion thread

The Wizards will be without newly acquired players Nene and Brian Cook as they take on the Atlanta Hawks on Friday at Philips Arena. Coach Randy Wittman said he expects to possibly have Cook in uniform for Memphis and Nene will likely make his Wizards debut on Wednesday against New Jersey. Nene and Cook still need to pass their physicals for the trade to go through.

Roger Mason Jr. said Nene “brings credibility” to the locker room and several of the Wizards are excited about adding a veteran big man to the roster. But before they welcome their new teammates, the players wished JaVale McGee and Nick Young the best of luck after they were traded to Denver and the Los Angeles Clippers, respectively.
