Wizards vs. 76ers: Game 51 open thread

March 30, 2012

The Washington Wizards are seeking to avoid a season sweep against Philadelaphia, which won the first three games of this series by an average of 18 points.

Included in that streak was a 103-93 loss on Jan. 23 that was the final game for former coach Flip Saunders, whom the Wizards fired the next day. The Wizards have lost five in a row overall to the 76ers and haven’t beaten Philadelphia at Verizon Center since Nov. 23, 2010.

“For us, we’ve got to be efficient offensively and not turn the ball over,” Coach Randy Wittman said. “I think that’s where they really fuel themselves in terms of all of sudden going on a run. I think we’ve not been real crisp in what we’ve done the first three times we’ve played them.”
