The Wizards will be without Bradley Beal when they play the Brooklyn Nets in their first regular season game at Barclays Center. Beal will miss his seconnd straight game with a sprained left ankle.
Trevor Ariza will start in place of Beal. The Wizards are 2-6 without Beal this year, losing their past four games on the road without him. They lost in Minnesota, 87-82, on Wednesday as they committed a season-high 24 turnovers.
The Wizards have split the first two games against Brooklyn, losing the first meeting on Jan. 4, 105-103, in double-overtime when Joe Johnson hit a buzzer-beating jumper and winning the next meeting on Feb. 8, 89-74.
