John Wall didn’t survive the first — and so far only — round of cuts to suit up for Team USA at the upcoming FIBA World Cup, but the Wizards point guard is making his presence known internationally on his own.

As part of a promotion of his new Adidas signature shoe line, Wall is on a tour of China, Japan and South Korea through Aug. 28. His first stop was Tuesday in Beijing, where fans participated in dunk and three-point contests on a court built on the Great Wall of China.

Wall’s schedule allowed for such a trip because he was dropped from Team USA along with back-court teammate Bradley Beal and Hawks forward Paul Millsap after a week-long training camp in Las Vegas.
