‘Obamacare’ takes off, in one chart

Via Buzzfeed, the Obama campaign’s embrace of the term “Obamacare” last week looks to have correlated with a giant spike in Americans searching for the health reform law by that term.

Granted, the late part of March has seen an overall uptick in the number of health reform-related searches, with the law hitting its two-year anniversary and the Supreme Court taking up its constitutionality. The number of “Obamacare” searches did, however, increase much more rapidly, indicating that the campaign’s new stance on the term likely had something to do with it.
