Perhaps money was everything
In Wonkbook this morning, I argued that Rick Santorum’s wins last night proved money isn’t everything. But as one reader pointed out over e-mail, perhaps they really proved that money is everything. That’s the interpretation the Romney campaign is likely to take, anyway. Here’s a suggestive tidbit from Politico’s Morning Score:
ABSENCE OF COMMERCIALS HELPED DOOM ROMNEY: For the first time in any of the early contests, Romney and his affiliated super PAC did not blanket the airwaves with ads. It may not be the only reason Romney won some of his races, but it certainly was a big one — and it helped in a paid media state like Florida.
