Wonktalk: Mourning the death of Google Reader

On Wednesday, Google announced that it was planning to kill off Google Reader, its small but much-loved service for reading news and blogs via RSS.

In today's Wonktalk, Dylan Matthews and I discuss whether RSS is still a useful way to stay on top of the news — and what it means when many of our Internet communities are at the mercy of large companies that are always changing things up. (As a bonus, if you watch long enough, Dylan reveals the first Geocities page he ever created.)
