This huge panoramic photo shows the scope of Ukraine’s protests

December 10, 2013

This panorama was taken Sunday, the same day as this amazing video, in Kiev's Independence Square. It's another view of the size of the protests, which started when Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych backed away from a deal for greater integration with the European Union, instead inching toward Russia. AirPano, which created the panorama, is, interestingly, made up of Russian photo enthusiasts, the not-for-profit explains on its Web site.
