Air Penguin, from GameVil, has crept up the charts on the iTunes store. It’s a two-axis tilt-control game, and users have to angle their devices to guide the penguin protagonist across ice floes to the finish line. Fall in the water once, and it’s game over. Along the way, sharks and swordfish try to end your rush to the finish line. All the while, helpful turtles and whales chip in to keep your momentum going. Collect fish for special power-ups. The game is cute and fun, but frustrating for commuters who may get jostled while playing. Air Penguin is for iOS, 99 cents.
