What to watch: Washington area events for the week of June 11

The Vienna-based TelecomHub plans to examine the impact Washington area start-ups are having during a panel discussion on Thursday.

Michael Goldstein of Endeavor DC, Stephanie Hay of FastCustomer, David J. Steinberg of SnappCloud, D.P. Venkatesh of mPortal and Pete Erickson of Disruptathon and MoDev are to talk about how their companies are bringing innovation and disruption to the market.

The Greater Reston Chamber of Commerce is hosting a workshop on how to use social media to grow business, beginning at 8:30 a.m. at its office at 1763 Fountain Dr. The event is free for members, $10 for everyone else.
