NVTC offers workshop on recruiting and keeping veterans

The Northern Virginia Technology Council’s Veterans Employment Training Workshop is Wednesday.

The NVTC says this event is designed to help companies add veterans; men and women who are transitioning out of the military; and those who are serving in the National Guard and Reserves.

The workshop is to offer best practices for recruiting, retention and facilitating transition to civilian employment.

The half-day event begins at 7 a.m. the Northern Virginia Community College, 8333 Little River Turnpike, Annandale. $25 for members, $45 for everyone else.

Thursday, March 6

The Prince William Chamber of Commerce’s Innovations Science & Technology Expo begins at 3:45 p.m. at the Continental Event Center, 9705 Liberia Ave., Manassas. Free.

The Tech Council of Maryland is holding a cocktail reception in Northern Virginia. The event begins at 5 p.m. at Maggiano’s Little Italy, 2100 International Dr., McLean. $49-$59 for members, $69 for everyone else.
