Arlington Economic Development and the Washington Network Group are holding a panel discussion on “Demystifying Innovation: Proven Methodologies, Best Practices and How To’s.”

The event is to cover the topics of innovation and the innovation ecosystem, what it consists of, how it helps companies achieve success and its role in transformation and change.

Panelists include Andres Jordan of Factor6, Nnake Nweke of the Federal Communications Commission and Brooke Paul of Taivara.

The event begins at 4 p.m. at Arlington Economic Development’s offices at 1100 N. Glebe Rd., Arlington. $20 for WNG members, $40 for everyone else.

The Greater Reston Chamber of Commerce is holding a panel discussion on “Breaking the Barrier: Launching Government Contracting Businesses Through the Small Business Threshold.” Panelists include Ralph Buchanan of the Small Business Administration, Lou Crenshaw of HJ Steininger, Greg Baroni of Attain and Jose Arrieta of the Department of Homeland Security. The event begins at 8:30 a.m. at the College Board, 11955 Democracy Dr., Reston. $30 for members, $45 for everyone else.

The Fairfax Chamber of Commerce plays host to Donna S. Morea, chief executive of consulting and advisory firm Adesso Group, who will speak as part of its Women in Business series. The event begins at 7:30 a.m. at the Fairfax Chamber’s offices at 7900 Westpark Dr., Suite A550, McLean. $40.
