The Northern Virginia Technology Council’s annual banquet is Wednesday.

Bill McDermott, co-chief executive of global business software firm SAP, is to give the keynote. Virginia Gov. Robert F. McDonnell (R) is to receive the 2013 Chairman’s Award and Paul Lombardi of Inpower is to receive the Earle C. Williams Lifetime Achievement Award.

The organization will also announce the winners of its 2013 Innovator Awards.

The event begins at 5:30 p.m. at the Ritz-Carlton, 1700 Tysons Blvd., McLean. $295 for members, $375 for everyone else.

The Tech Council of Maryland is hosting Sondra L. Barbour of Lockheed Martin, who will talk about “Driving Innovation for Cyber Security.” The event begins at 8 a.m. at the Bethesda Marriott, 5151 Pooks Hill Rd., Bethesda. $70 for members, $80 for everyone else.

The D.C. Chamber of Commerce and ExportDC are hosting representatives from the Export-Import Bank, Small Business Administration and HSBC Bank, who will talk about how small businesses can access money to sell goods and services in the global marketplace. The event begins at 9 a.m. at the chamber’s offices at 506 Ninth St. NW. Free.
