Comparing corporate income taxes

While the U.S. corporate tax rate of 35 percent is one of the world’s highest, most businesses pay less after taking advantage of loopholes and deductions. Among the Group of Seven countries, the United States falls in the middle when corporate taxes as a percentage of gross domestic product are compared.
