Projecting lower deficits

The Congressional Budget Office says that projected deficits should be cut by almost half over the next 10 years if the Bush-era tax cuts and other temporary revenue measures are allowed to expire on schedule. If the measures are extended, the deficit in 2021 could reach $440 billion, instead of $279 billion.
