Reworking the jobs numbers
The monthly jobs number is one of the most closely watched indicators of the U.S. economy and, in an election year, can make or break how a president is perceived. Although everyone makes a big deal on the day it comes out, the number is often revised up or down the following month — and very few pay attention. Read related article.
