Cutoff of extended benefits is looming
If Congress doesn’t extend the Emergency Unemployment Compensation program, about 1.8 million workers will lose their benefits. And the long-term unemployed — at 27 weeks or longer — have accounted for more than 40 percent of the total unemployed for the past 22 months. Read related article.
