Wireless company mergers since 2002

In 2002, the wireless market had seven major carriers. But because of mergers and acquisitions, by 2010 there were only four. If the Justice Department doesn’t rule out AT&T’s $39 billion purchase of T-Mobile, it would drop to three. And the combined AT&T/T-Mobile would probably move ahead of Verizon in subscribers and retail connections.
