Lifton Says China's Dominance in Rare Earths to Continue

Jun. 20, 2011 - June 21 (Bloomberg) -- Jack Lifton, founding principal of Technology Metals Research LLC, talks about China's production of rare earths. China, supplier of 95 percent of the 17 elements known as rare earths, used in wind turbines, hybrid cars and defense applications such as guided missiles, has clamped down on mining and cut export quotas.
