Feb. 22, 2012 - Feb. 22 (Bloomberg) -- Ted Menzies, Canadian Minister of State for Finance, discusses the country's proposal to keep down costs on voluntary pension plans by enabling competition among banks, insurers and pension funds. Menzies, speaking today with Bloomberg's Andrew Mayeda in Ottawa, said eligible institutions will be able to qualify to manage tax-sheltered pensions known as pooled registered pension plans.
